That's really cool, Ludovic.

I immediately thought Luis Guzman as well and Hugh Jackman as Jack. Awesome work, Ludovic. Very good stuff!

I see Nathan Fillion there as Jack. Funny how we all see someone different isn't it? But most certainly see Luis Guzman as Juilio.

Nice work Ludovic.

Yeah, I first saw Charlie Sheen. Weird.

Hello all!
At first, I have to thank you all for your positive comments, thank you too Mr Wilson! It's a very good motivation for me to continue my hobby, I will certainly paint other scene or posters of Jack, as soon as possible.

Otherwise, yes! I've took Luis Guzman as model for Julio! I know, you have all a different vision of Julio when you read Jack's stories, I had myself a vision of an Italian guy type! But I thought Guzman were a good choice for this character...

In concern of Jack, it's funny to see your impressions, and you have all right! When I'm looking at it, I can actually recognize some resemblance with Charlie Sheen or Bruce Campbell, but I've took (again!) Nathan Fillion as model for Jack!

CCosborne3, you asked me how fast I work, and it's difficult to answer. Like I said, it's a hobby of mine (I play guitar too, and I read much!), and that depend on the difficulty level of the painting (and of the motivation too!). That depend too of the time I can dispose... and with a 3 years old gremlin (my son), it's not easy!
For that painting, I don't know exactly, but I think it took 10 days, with 2 till 4 hours a day.

Wdg3rd, I agree, Julio's regulars are certainly not big readers, it was certainly someone new in the bar, who's gone too fast, because of the weird atmosphere... you know... the regulars, the dead plants!Wink

For the next painting, I've allready an idea. I think I will paint a scene from the second novel "Legacies".

To be continued...

Ludovic

It means you created a good "everyman".

He looks like Nathan Fillion.
No, Hugh Jackman.
No, Bruce Campbell.
No, Charlie Sheen.

I saw Sheen as well.

Excellent job at capturing the scene, dead plants and all.

Thank you Brian, the dead plants are normally (I think to remember) at the windows, but it was not possible to paint a whole scene with all the details (I mean the bar, the sign free beer, the plants and the characters) and with the entry door and the windows. I wanted to show Jake's face, so it was (in my opinion) the better layout for the scene...
Glad to see you like it!

That's ok about the dead plants, Ludo; it would make sense that they're dead because of the fact that they are not next to a window. Wink

You have a very good abstract tone to your Repairman Jack paintings that I really enjoy. Hiding little 'secrets' in your paintings, like the Jake Fixx novel, is a great idea, as well.

Keep up the good work, and thanks for adding some color to the forum! Smile
