The Brian Jonestown Massacre
I'm wondering if anyone listens to BJM. I watched Dig, a rockumentary featuring them and The Dandy Warhols, last night and found their music to be intriguing. While they did not come across as people I would care to hang with, at the time of the filming they were severe drug addicts, they do create a unique sound that I found myself wanting to hear more of.
When I went to their website, I noticed that Anton (the creative force behind BJM) does not approve of the film. And no wonder, it makes him appear like a brilliant asshole. He has apparently sobered up and believes that the band is better than ever.
But I do hate their name.
