@medusa yeah i know. My friend helped me with it but there wasn't an option to download into my desktop/laptop

@mores yeah my itunes account is tied to my local server so no kindle for me here. And yeah i now have to resort to buying from Amazon then syncing with Kindle for PC and then transferring to Calibre. A roundabout way but i guess i have no choice.

There's free software out there called Hamster ebook converter. It'll let you drag and drop ebook files from any type, and convert it into another. I tend to transfer all of mine into epub files, since they're mostly cross-platform. Hope this helps
