    Default Copper on BBC America

Has anyone else caught this one? I've seen 2 episodes thus far. It's set in 1864...in NYC. The story centers around a returned Northern soldier that is now a police detective. His daughter was killed and now his wife is missing upon his return.

I thought it was entertaining. It was certainly a brutal time in America and this show depicts it.

I DVR'd the first episode but haven't watched it yet. I saw a special on the making of the show and it looked really interesting so I am going to try to start watching it. But I'm way behind on Fallen Skies so it may take a while before I get to Copper.

I've seen the coming attractions. They played while I was watching Gangs of New York last week. It looks like Copper is set in that same world/time-frame.

I've seen the first 2 episodes and liked them a lot.

Copper captures the feel of Gangs of New York, one of my favorite films.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of that film as well. One of those films that no matter how many times you've seen it, if you're channel-surfing and come across it, you gotta stop and watch. Sort of like Jaws or any of the Bonds. Imminently re-viewable.

I think it's worth watching after everybody here discussed it warmly!

Tell us what you think after you've caught up. I really like it......brutal in parts and funny in others.

    And...... welcome to the board.
