F. Paul Wilson, Tor, $25.99 (336p) ISBN 978-0-7653-2282-1
This riveting supernatural thriller, billed as the penultimate novel in Wilson's long-running Repairman Jack saga (Ground Zero, etc.), finds Jack, a principled mercenary who lives off the grid, still tussling with the evil Order of Septimus, whose members hope to open the door to a malignant occult force known as the Otherness. To do so, they partner with several techno-terrorist cults to shut down the Internet, which further serves the interests of Jack's nemesis, the sinister Mr. Osala, who's grooming a newborn child tainted with the Otherness to play an adversarial role in the events unfolding. Wilson gives his multilayered plot an invigorating aura of cosmic creepiness as he deftly weaves together subplots and themes that have been snaking their way through the past dozen novels. Fans who've been following this series for the past quarter-century will be pleased to find that it still abounds with ingenuity and surprises. (Oct.)

Came across this eBay listing for IMPLANT that keeps cracking me up: http://cgi.ebay.com/Implant-F-Paul-W..._Fiction_Books

First, the subtitle of the item is: "Gina finds more than one type implant in dr.'s arsenal"

Then, the synopsis that Muze provides from their database is: "A wombat records its daily activities in its diary, but most of its entries simply describe its eating and sleeping habits. The wombat's life (and diary entries) get more interesting when it strikes up a friendship with some newly arrived human neighbors. Illustrated with acrylic paintings."

(Apparently, this is Muze's fault; I've found other eBay listings that have it.)

Lastly, the seller's description says: "There are no wombats in this book. The first part of the synopsis is idiotic."

Anyway, the listing just keeps cracking me up. Enjoy.

Hello everyone.

I come asking a small favor from anyone who can help. Over the last few years I have been dragging my son Jack to book signings. He has learned that getting a book signed is special. (When we went to Ray Bradbury's signing last year he tried to get a Spongebob Squarepants book signed.) So now we have a new signing for F. Paul Wilson I have realized that what I need to do is get a copy of The Christmas Thingy for him to get signed but have been running into a problem. The only copies I have been finding as of late are already signed! So if anyone could be so kind as to point me in the right direction for finding a plain ordinary paperback copy of The Christmas Thingy I would be eternally grateful

Thanks.
Icarus

P.S. I swear I did not name my son after Repairman Jack!! Honestly!!
