Warning! Warning! Warning! Even if you like Japanese horror movies, you shouldn't see this movie, "Chakushin Ari 2". If it translate to English, the title is "You got a mail".(I'm not talking about the movie of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. I like that movie).
Part1 is.....I've never seen such a awful movie before. So I think part2 is bad, too. Nevertheless Hollywood intend to remake of it! Somebody need to say to producers, "STOP it!".
I don't see it yet, but I saw trailer...it's totally trash.
Ring was good, The Grudge was good. But this "Chakushin Ari" series are BAD.

It looks pretty bad in the trailer. I counted 14 scenes where the actors popped their eyes. Imagine how many more await in the actual movie. Thanks for the warning.

14 scenes! LOL.
Well, anyway this movie is too stupid. Story is "If you saw cell phone's mail, you will die." and characters already know about it. Nevertheless they open the phone, and see it, and screaming.....what a stupid people! And what a silly story.

Thanks for the heads up, Kenji. I love asian horror movies. I am starting to build quite a collection. I will avoid this one, though. :D
I got Ring Virus for Valentine's Day. I knew it was kind of based on the Ringu story, but I didn't know it was basically just a Korean remake of Ringu. It used more of the book than Ringu did, but it wasn't that great of a movie.

Yeah, Korean horror is crap! I don't know why Japan remade this Korean movie....and even Hollywood intend to remake of it. :(
By the way, welcome back. :)

Thanks. This guy I chat with on another board said he loved the first one, and the "death melody" is his ring tone on his cellphone. I think I'll take your advice on it, though.
I would say that the Juon movies are my favorites right now. Oh, and the Eye.

OH NO!!!!!!! Kenji, I bought the first Chakushin ari by accident. I was looking for several movies on ebay, and I clicked buy now, and thought it was a different movie than it was. Well, anyway, I will tell you how it is, as soon as I have some time to kill.
So, I saw Dark Water. I liked it, but it wasn't very scary. I just want to adopt the little girl in it though. She was so darling. Whispering Corridors was more of a social statement than a horror movie too. I did like the Phone, which is Korean. It had an almost Hollywood feel to it. Scared me quite a few times. That little girl in it was such a good actress.

That is one of the worst trailers I have ever seen. And I guess those were the best parts.

**DARK WATER SPOILER ALERT**
I hear that. I wanted to just grab her and cuddle her. She was so darling. The movie didn't really scare me either, but the one part with the water tank pounding from the inside kind of got me. One thing that grossed me out about Dark Water was the idea that they were drinking CORPSE WATER all that time.

So I watched A Tale of Two Sisters. What a good movie. I can't say I fully understood the ending, but I never, ever figured out the plot twist until it played out all the way.
Chakushin Ari, One Missed Call, wasn't too bad. I anticipated it being so awful that I got some good scares out of it. It had some freaky moments. It wasn't the best horror movie I ever saw, but I did really enjoy it.

Yeah. The DVD says the English is One Missed Call.
I didn't love it. I just think it was better than I thought it was going to be. I was a bit confused with the ending, but I'm getting used to that. Seems to happen to me a lot.
It did scare me a few times though.
