These are some things/people who I've found to be Missing in Action:
1. Mike Hanson's Top Ten Lists
2. Kenji
3. Dave the Brit (or is he one of those new Dave's?)
4. Saynomore (well, he said goodbye, but he always says goodbye before humbly returning)
5. Gerald's poetry announcements
6. Karen's over-the-top posts and nice wolf drawings
7. Lisa's picking on the newbies (what gives--not one shot since she's become Uber Moderator)
8. Tony's (Asmoral) two cents on every topic
9. A good ole gun controversy thread
10. Mike Hanson's Self-Promotion

This new board takes some getting used to. I read the threads first and then when one strikes my fancy, I start to respond; then the old "sign in" message appears and by the time I sign in, I forgot what I wanted to post. I can imagine how frustrating it would be for those posting from work--looking over their shoulders every few seconds for the boss to walk by. On the old board one could just switch sites in a jiffy. Not that I'm condoning playing on the RJ Board while at work, but this could account for the MIA. And one more thing unrelated to this MIA topic: Please, Lisa/Susan/FPW/Admin Guy, don't create so many thread titles that we who are at work must spend extra time making sure we are posting on the right title. I always thought off-topic and on-topic sufficed.

Well, just speaking for myself, I haven't HAD to pick on newbies since it's harder for them to make stupid ass mistakes on this board. Or perhaps the new format makes stupid posters less likely to bother posting since they have to sign in and stuff. Either way, the ten-mile-long threads and the utter chaos are gone, which has soothed my soul. I hardly even have an ulcer anymore.

Lisa (who will be glad to insult anyone who misses it)

You could just leave yourself signed in. That's what I do. Unless someone else uses/snoops on your computer. Of course, if they do, what are the odds of them coming to this site?

Are you kidding?! What else would keep me sane at work?

In case you didn't notice, anyone can start a thread. Here's a tip: AFTER you sign on, click on the new posts link in order to strictly see the posts that have been added since your last visit.

And, yeah, where the hell has Tony been? Come back, Shane....err...I mean Tony!!!!

My GG has a new boyfriend who he is currently obsessed with, and Susan has been busy with other stuff. She's still lurking about though.

5. Gerald's poetry announcements

I haven't had anything going on with poetry as of late, but I did just get a story published on Nocturnal Ooze. I'm not gonna do any poetry announcing until I can get something significant going. I'm trying to write a book of poetry. So far I have about 40.

I'm still a 'tarded newbie, I don't know how to do all the stuff on here and I hate reading directions.
