Rain Wednesday and Thursday (sorry).

Friday through Sunday should be sunny with highs in the upper sixties, except for Friday when the highs will only reach 60.

Thanks, Susan. Not quite as warm as I would've liked, but.... oh well. It's warmer than Illinois. :D

Hopefully the rain won't be too bad on Thursday. Maybe it will just be the standard Florida afternoon shower.

We'll have tons o' fun regardless.

The worst day for rain will be tomorrow, with an 80% chance of rain. Thursday it drops to 40%, but there will probably be at least a quick thunderstorm in the afternoon. The good news is that on Saturday there is 0% chance of rain. You should have a very nice day at the Magic Kingdom.

I'm trying to pack as lightly as possible--one carry-on with room left for some books I'm bringing. Do you think I should bring an umbrella for Thursday?

Hey! Who you calling a wuss? Besides, I'd rather NOT bring an umbrella because a) it takes up space and b) I'll lose it. So there!

I'm sure the umbrella is really for self-defense purposes. In case Minnie gets a little too friendly with you, right? Hehehe.

I'm so excited about the GU, I can hardly stand it!!

What makes you think I'd want to defend myself from Minnie? She's HOTTTTT! Not as hot as Betty Boop, but hot!

BTW, I'm bringing a windbreaker. Is it OK to break wind in a windbreaker?

Like everything else in life, that brings to mind a Tull song:

"Let me make you a present of song, as the wise man breaks wind and is gone. While the fool with the hourglass is cooking his goose, and the nursery rhyme winds along." Amazing what Ian Anderson could write without benefit of drugs. "Thick as a Brick" is somewhat obtuse, but that passage basically is telling us that we should let ourselves go and relax at Disneyworld, while the fools with their hourglasses are watching the sands of time pass by in their mundane existences.

(I minored in Brickology. The answers to every important question in life can be found in four Tull albums: Aqualung, Thick as a Brick, A Passion Play, and Warchild.)

How the Hell did I get off on this from umbrellas? I REALLY need this vacation. I've spent too much of the past two months inside the minds of stone killers. :(

Stone Killers? People who kill stones, or stones that kill people? :p

I'll reply in a PM. I don't want this thread to become depressing. :)

To paraphrase an old expression, I don't care what you call it, just call ME!

Actually it's Tigger you have to watch out for. He was on trial here last year for allegedly groping guests. (Really).

No wussiness about it Jim. If I were coming, I'd bring an umbrella too.

Yeah, and if the rust builds up too much, then GU magnets might not stick. :D

I've packed my umbrella; I always do. Former Girl Scout, don't you know...always be prepared.

Well, the weather today was overcast and drizzly -- which is pretty unusual for Orlando. It felt like I was back home in Seattle where I grew up. Tomorrow it is supposed to be warmer but still rainy, and Friday it is supposed to be colder but sunny.

Go figure.
