Whenever I log onto the home page of the website, the final screen flashes briefly. It then dissappears and goes dark. Then the words appear, the picture is placed back on the screen as the RJ logo is drawn on the screen. It is a dramatic opening to the site, I believe. However, to have the final page flash onscreen before the teaser is sort of like watching the end of a movie first. Is this just my browser, or is it the website?
It's not just you. It does the same thing on my browser (Netscape 7.1).

P.S. - Moving this to Site Questions...

I am sorry for posting this to the wrong forum. Would love to see it fixed, as I think the idea as a welcome is pretty cool.

IT doesn't happen with MSN.

No problem, Falcon, just moving it over here in the hopes that the Willster might see it. If you want you could email him about it (see the "admin" listing in the Members List). Personally I never even noticed it until you brought it up, because I have a direct bookmark to the forum and rarely go in through the front page of the website. Good catch, though.

Lisa-
so far the website administrator hasn't answered this thread. I'll go ahead and send a PM to the proper person, but I can't seem to find an admin list (and I know I've seen it before) so I can make sure it goes to the proper person. Uh.. also a little embarrassed, as I do not know who the Wilster is, unles you mean fpw.

The "blink" in the begining of the site is a Flash tester. What that means is the web site detects if you currently have Flash installed on your browser and if it does it automatically tranfers you to the flash intro. If you're browser doesn't support Flash you stay at the static site (AKA... No animation)... In order for the test to take place the Static site must load first, thus you see a "blink"... Then the animation.
Hope that answers any questions.
