While it isn't an appearance by FPW, it is one by a respected colleague of his: Joe Lansdale. He will be reading and signing from his latest at The Tattered Cover tomorrow and I will be there. I can't wait; I'm betting it will be worth a couple of laughs.
Besides the appearances and conferences forum was feeling neglected.

Joe Lansdale of Bubba Ho-Tep fame?!?!? I have no idea where the Tattered Cover is, but I'm sure it is not near me.
If anyone gets a chance to see Bubba Ho-Tep, I highly recommend it.

Tell him I said Hello and will he be at WFC in Phoenix?

I planned on dropping your name but alas, I never made it. Instead I got to visit with one of your medical brethren for stitches on a gash I opened up above my eyebrow by smacking my head on my driveway after tumbling off my patio. NO, I wasn't drinking (although I wish I had been) to answer that question and neither did it knock any sense into me.

Sorry to learn of your accident. Just be glad it didn't knock any out of you.

Let me be the first to jump on that Bubba Ho-Tep bandwagon; it is hilarious . Bruce gives one of the best Elvis impersonations ever and Ossie Davis (who is always good) is great as JFK. I'm sensing the birth of a new cult classic.
And why, oh why can't FPW find a director who desires to stay as true to the source material as Don Coscarelli did in this instance? There is little difference between the short story and film; Lansdale's writing seeps through in every scene.
