Anybody bringing a laptop with wireless internet access to WDW? I don't see any DSL connections on the resorts.

I want to take tons of pics with my new digital camera, but I'm going to shoot them at the highest resolution. That means I won't be able to fit many pictures in a flash card.

My options are (1) Don't take that many pictures (ha!); (2) Buy another memory card (ugh); or (3) Find a kind soul that will allow me to e-mail the pics to myself once or twice during the trip to free up space on my cards.

Not that big a deal, but thought I'd ask.

Sorry, I don't have a laptop to bring. But why do you need an internet connection? Why don't you just transfer them from the flashcard to your hard-drive?

I have a laptop, but not wireless connections. I was thinking about bringing it, but now I won't since, from what you say, Susan, there doesn't seem to be a place to connect it.

Thanks Jim and Maggers,

But I realized that buying a 512 MB flash card would only cost about $35. So I went ahead and bought it. That plus my existing 128 MB flash card should keep me in good shape!

Until you are able to get compromising pictures of the GUers and the various mascots of WDW.... then you might be hoping for more memory for the great blackmail potential.

I'm wearing a Phantom of the Opera mask this year (if I come).

Some of the more upscale resorts on property offer DSL and Wi-Fi connections, but you definitely won't find them at the Pop Century. If you have a modem and you have an ISP with a dial-up access number, all of the resort rooms (including Pop Century) do have a port you can plug into and connect that way. Of course it's not broadband, but it's at least something.

There are a few internet cafe's off property, but if you don't have a rental car that won't do you much good.

If you just need to check email, some resorts (maybe all) have public internet terminals where you can pay by the minute.
