Very good, Susan. A certain National Treasure look about it.

Is that really an elephant trunk with a feather? Did I miss something?

That's for Dumbo! That's how little Dumbo the baby elephant thinks he can fly -- with a magic feather! I cannot say what our Queens had in mind, but I bet that's it.

And, coincidentally, one of the characters in "All the Rage," lived in a neighborhood in Brooklyn called DUMBO (stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass).

At least I'll be able to get some GU-4 stuff if not the memories. *sigh*

Should I get some stuff for you that was actually AT the GU and have FPW sign it for you? I could bring it back to you.

I'll miss you not being there. The group will have a drink for you ...... or several. ;)

It's a Dumbo Feather! Not only a Disney and ATR reference, but also a reference from another FPW book I won't mention because I'm afraid it might give too much away.

Glad you caught that and like the logo. Did you notice The Keep behind The Magic Kingdom? LOL! That was Lisa's idea. I must indulge my co-Queen from time to time.

I did catch the KEEP behind Cinderella's Castle. Unfortunately, I don't recognize a few of the others, nor the Dumbo reference.

Well, I did see National Treasure over Christmas weekend! Maybe it sunk into my brain cells.

More than anything I think I used a pyramid because it fit best with the number 4.

Susan,

That logo in itself is reason enough to go.
I have had some misgivings about going recently:
1. That Saturday is turnabout dance for my daughter, and although I have her blessing to miss the picture taking 'N AT, I somehow feel I'll be an awful father if I do.
2. That Sunday is the Super Bowl, and if my Stillers are in it, I have to watch it, which means I have to schedule my wife's flight to Orlando around it.

I'm in a quandary! Help!

P.S. My daughter thinks it's really cool that I know an honest to goodness best-selling author. Maybe a really cool signed FPW item would solve the problem?

Susan:

I did NOT notice The Keep until you mentioned it. Let's see if I understand all the mysterious images...

1. The apex is clearly the RJ logo..cool
2. The ubiquitous flamethrower...yipee!
3. Dumbo and his feather... aww, really sweet
4. The catepillar across the moon? The only thing I can think of is a sort of twisted twist on E.T. and friend on the bicycle flying in front of the moon. Would that be a tip 'o the hat to NIGHTWORLD?
5. The Keep lurking behind Cinderella's Castle...how cool is that?!
6. Oceans boiling and such, the end of the world as we know it from NIGHTWORLD?
7. The letters is a take on the mysterious writings found in the secret room in SIBS.

I think I have the bug/moon thing wrong, but let me know.

And there is a nifty insignia inside the omega sign. What's that?

I LOVE THIS LOGO!

Good job, Maggers! You got almost all of them right.

It's not a carterpillar, it's a centipede! ROTFL! And it is a twisted reference to Nightworld. Hehehe.

The bottom right is a Hubble Telescope picture from space with the Lanague logo on top. So that's a sci-fi ref.

And the letter is directly from Sibs, with some slight edits. ;)

Glad you guys are enjoying the logo.

Susan,

I got my T-Shirt and journal in today's mail. Totally awesome! (Or as we used to say in my day "Groovy, man!")

You've exceeded the standards you set with GU-3! I hope you know how much we all appreciate what you do. :)

I'm so excited about GU-4! I just finished a brief that took a lot of time and effort, and I need a break, so the timing couldn't be better. By the way, which night is the orgy, and who's bringing the pickled herring? :D

I'm glad you like it, Biggles! It makes me feel warm all over, just like you guys will feel after your 27th beer. Hehehe.

As far as the orgy, the latest info is on this thread: http://www.repairmanjack.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1391

Plus when we meet on Thursday, you'll all get color-coded schedules so you'll know where to be and when.

Aren't we anal...I mean organized?

Great! Much less worry about me being lost and you having to put out an "Amber alert" for me.
