Okay Everyone:
I bought my plane ticket so now I have no choice but to go. It will be fun, of this I am certain.
If everyone going to the GU would note their flight information so we have a general idea of when everyone will be there that would be great.
My Information:
US Airways Flight 310 arrives in Orlando (MCO) 1:44 p.m.
Having never been to the orlando airport before I am not sure where the gate is or what gate it is even really at. I will undoubtedly be irritable after a three hour hold in Charlotte anyhow.
If everyone else could follow suit (on posting, not on having a layover at Charlotte) we would greatly appreciate it.
Tony (AsMoral as Julie the Cruise Director, only not strung out on alcohol and cocaine.)

Arrival:
JetBlue Flight 69
Arrives Orlando, Feb. 2 (Wednesday), 3:50 PM
I wanted to get there the afternoon before the festivities begin, just to get my bearings and who knows what else!
Departure:
JetBlue Flight 48
Departs Orlando, Feb. 6 (Sunday), 12:30 PM
I've been to Orlando once, and that was by car from Tampa. So I've no idea about the airport. Figured I'd get a cab to the hotel, or knowing Disney, they may have courtesy shuttles. Anybody know?
Maggers,
We typically meet up at the airport and travel together to the GU spot. It may take a bit more planning this year since there are so many people. After we have everyone's times, we'll see about transportation.

Good luck Tony. I hope USAir's recent financial woes don't cause you any problems. And not just for your sake, buddy. USAir is the major airline at PIT and a big contributor to the 'Burgh's economy. I'll be bummed out majorly if they don't come through bankruptcy OK.

Trish is a maybe. She hasn't contacted me to confirm sharing a room, and I haven't heard anything from her about a flight. So I am planning on being solo in my room.

Trish is probably a no. I got a letter on Christmas Eve telling me that my financial aid has been suspended due to "unsatisfactory academic progress." My lowest GPA since going back to school was 3.0, and that was my first semester on returning. I didn't worry about it, thinking they screwed up, but when they opened back up on January 3rd, I found out it's true. Apparently you're only allowed 100 hours toward your Associates degree and I'm at 101. They actually counted the hours from when I was too young to give a damn about school. So, anyway, I'm trying to come up with $1,200 for school this semester at the moment.
If my appeal goes through, I will almost definitely do the GU. But if not, I will be selling my body to the highest bidder on ebay to pay for tuition and books. . . . . . not really!
So, here's my appeal, let me know if I laid it on thick enough. . . . In November 1997, I joined the Army through the delayed entry program. My entry date was scheduled for June of 1998, so I enrolled in the spring semester with 16 hours. I got called up early and actually went to Basic on January 21, 1998. All of those classes were dropped. I gave them my DD214 showing my entry and discharge dates, and kinda threw it in there that my son and I would lose our apartment and car and would very likely starve absolutely to death without financial aid. So, if you were on the committee, would my appeal be approved?

Aww, Trish, that stinks! I'd certainly approve your appeal. Academic administration sucks, and I work in academic administration, but I try not to be so difficult.
Well, I'll hold my diet coke up high and toast you, my girl, when we are all gathered 'round the Mouse and FPW.
I'll miss meeting you! :(

So what are you strung out on? Um...I mean...never mind!
My information:
Delta Flight #1736 arriving in Orlando at 2:07pm
I leave on Sunday, Delta Flight #164 at 8:15pm (what the heck was I thinking?)
Thrilled you can make it to The House of Mouse, Tony!

I'm landing at Miami airport on Wednesday 2nd 4.15pm.
Will drive a little way towards Orlando that evening, stay at the Bates Motel, and with luck still be alive to meet you all at the airport on the Thursday.
I fly back from Miami on the Tuesday evening, so can keep anyone company who is left hanging longer than expected.

Figured I'd get a cab to the hotel, or knowing Disney, they may have courtesy shuttles. Anybody know?
Trust me, there is an entire industry here in Orlando that is designed for one purpose, and one purpose only: to get you from the airport directly to Disney property. Mears is the official shuttle, but there are several other shuttle services that will be glad to whisk you from the airport to your hotel.
Hi, btw. I'm Lokheed - new to the board, been reading and loving FPW's books for more than a decade now, and an Orlando local. If anybody needs any advice about anything here in Central Florida, I would be more than happy to help.

Welcome to the board, Lokheed.
And, Maggers, I am sure there are plenty of shuttles to take you to WDW, but I doubt that any of them are "courtesy" (free) unless it was included in your hotel package or airfare. I got a transportation certificate with my package. You might wanna doublecheck with your agent or whomever you bought your tickets from.

When are you arriving, Biggles?
Finally booked my flight this evening. Arriving on Southwest from Midway at 2:15 p.m. Thursday and departing at 10:35 a.m. Sunday. The Pop Century was full, so I had to reserve a room at a "moderate" resort, and chose the Coronado. I'll probably just sleep there and hang out with the rest of yinz otherwise.
